Rob Mercer was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. Rob worked in engineering at a nearby hospital. His interest in UFO's and Astronomy began when he was about 7, when his uncle Terry came to came to their house telling them about strange lights he saw in the sky on his way home from work one night. He asked Rob’s mom if he could come with him, and we went back out looking for them on that same night. They were unable to find them, but from that point on Rob was hooked on the subject. Rob would also read and watch everything he could find. Terry had a telescope, and would come over to their house with it often since they lived out in the county where it was dark. This is how Rob learned about the night sky. Rob has seen and followed objects that he thought were not of this earth, and would usually figure out what they were.
