On today's solo episode, I dig into the topic of why it's important to know what you're teaching for. A while back, I wrote a blog post called "Why You Should Never Teach for a 'Maybe'". I wrote this post at a time when I was in an unconventional teaching agreement with a studio owner, and I was no longer receiving a monetary amount for my teaching. My business coach was uncomfortable, and I was thinking nothing of it. As time went on, I kept coming back to that situation. I trusted the person I was working with, and although everything worked out perfectly, it might not have. Since then, I have taught a karma class that I thought I was getting paid for that I actually wasn't, and I have heard numerous stories from people where there have been misunderstandings about payment.
