Synopsis

The next time you’re on Granville Island enjoying a donut or hot dog, you may find it difficult to find a free table but what you won’t find are pesky seagulls trying to steal your food.  That’s because Granville Island has been employing actual birds of prey to help protect visitors from gulls, crows or other flying nuisances!  Our show contributor Jawn Jang spoke with Chuck DeCoste  from Pacific Northwest Raptors and the unique service they provide for Granville Island.
