The    Book of     Zechariah stands at a transition point in the history of   God’s    people,   looking both backwards and forwards in time. It   helpfully   points  out   both past problems and God’s future solution.  It  covers   issues such  as   God’s sovereignty, the significance of  the   rebuilding  of the temple   in  Jerusalem, the coming of the  Messiah,  the  glorious  future hope, and   the  incorporation of  Gentiles into  the  people of  God. Zechariah is not particularly well-known, and its style of writing        makes it a challenge, but as with anything that is unfamiliar it    will     take work to understand.
