Therefore ... We do not lose heart. Does anybody want to lose heart? Yet, we often experience such loss. Paul came to the boarders of crippling discouragement and hopelessness but without losing heart. He says it's about a new focus, welling up from within, a new creation. He fixed his eyes on the unseen realm of reality. He asked the Lord to open the eyes of his heart to see where we've been seated in Christ. His pull towards the eternal empowered him to endure all manner of mountains before him. 2 Corinthians 4 ... 4 Therefore, having this ministry (3:8 – of the Spirit) by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper with God's word, but by the open statement of the truth we would commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them
