Blessed Epiphanytide! This talk reflects on Ash Wednesday's call to repentance, generosity, prayer, and fasting (Matthew 6:1-8; 16-21). Fr. Michael calls St. Aidan's to begin preparations for a more devout Lenten practice of prayer and fasting for deepening mercy-mindedness. Our hearts are changed firstly by asking the Father to ... "create in us a clean heart" to transform us more and more unto Christlikeness. We ask the Father to make us mercy-givers, to be mercy-minded, as is our Father.
