Arizona and Stanford combined for just four wins in 2021 but there is still a lot of optimism on both campuses that these programs can turn things around and have a winning campaign in 2022. Arizona State went 8-5 last season and lost more than half of its coaching staff and its star quarterback Jayden Daniels, but there is optimism in Tempe as well with talk of more team chemistry than ever before for Herm Edwards' squad.
