As an expert, there is a specific way that you have to market yourself in order to be effective–the GIVE GIVE GIVE SELL method. The idea is that as an expert, you give tons of incredible, valuable and useful information FOR FREE to your audience and then (and only then) you sell to them. So you give and give and give and then sell. In other words, you don’t reach out to your audience/email list ONLY when you want to sell something to them. This is kind of sleezy and it can be annoying to people. Additionally, it is not going to help you create a strong following.
