A special edition of the Spanish Jazz radio show Club de Jazz where we conducted a lengthy interview with Rudresh Mahanthappa. Born in 1971, he is one of the today´s most recognized alto saxophone players. Although he was born in Italy, Rudresh grew up in the United States and he is part of the American community of Indian origins along with musicians like pianist Vijay Iyer (with whom he works frequently). Among its milestones, Rudresh has played and recorded with musicians like Bunky Green and Kadri Gopalnath. This conversation took place in Madrid a few hours before his concert with Samdhi Quartet.
