Dr. John Jaquish developed an interest in life sciences when his mother was diagnosed with osteoporosis.  With a desire to help his mother avoid the side-effect inducing medications designed to treat the disease, he began his research.  As he progressed through his research, he realized that it was really a dysfunction of disuse and a lot of what are called ‘diseases of aging’ are really just diseases of not doing what you need to be doing to stay alive.
