Luke 2:1-21 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. The people walking around in darkness, political darkness, religious darkness, inner darkness, have seen a great light. As we gather on Christmas Eve to worship the newborn king, we have to acknowledge our deep need for light. We cannot wait to gather with you as God open's up the floodgates of light into our hearts as we acknowledge what a mighty thing he has done in the incarnation! For unto us a child is born!
