Colossians 2:6-15 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him. The question that Christianity answers, is not what makes Jesus the more rational choice, but rather what makes dead things come alive? Paul combats the philosophies of the Gentile culture along with the traditions of the Jewish culture and he comes to the answer that it is Christ and in Christ alone that cancels the debt of sin and unites Jew and Gentile alike into a new family!
