"A lot of rescues are getting together and working together more and if we all come together, we may be able to influence and make some change legislation and influence our politicians and get something in place to deal with this because it is a never-ending cycle." John Garrido has built the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation after taking in strays from the streets and trying to reunite them with the owners. It is working and he is already seeing other districts implement it as well. It could be a game-changer for the future of Chicago's animals.
