After the death of his father, Dr. Long began, what became a lifelong spiritual quest into the nature of life, death, rebirth, and consciousness. Dr. Jeffery D. Long is a leading authority in Religious Pluralism, the many paths to ultimate truth and realization of our oneness. Dr. Long is Professor of Religion and Asian Studies at Elizabethtown College, in Pennsylvania. Dr. Long is the author of four books including, A Vision for Hinduism, Jainism: An Introduction, the Historical Dictionary of Hinduism and, most recently, Hinduism in America: A Convergence of Worlds. In 2018, Dr. Long received the Hindu American Foundation’s Dharma Seva Award for his work to promote accurate and sensitive portrayals of Hindu traditions in the American education system and media.
