Paul is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery, the Director of Perioperative Research at the Duke Clinical Research Institute and the Co-Director of the Nutrition Support Service at Duke University Hospital in the United States. Paul works mainly as a perioperative, critical care, and nutrition physician focused on enhancing preparation and recovery from surgery and critical care. His academic career has led to large numbers of publications, grants and invited presentations.
