Patricia Funegra is an entrepreneur, activist, and advocate. She founded La Cocina VA, to create opportunities for social and economic growth through feeding, educating, and empowering the minds of the community in the DC metropolitan area, specifically focusing on the Hispanic community. La Cocina is a workforce and small business development non-profit organization that provides vocational job training for the food service and hospitality industries, English language training and job placement for the unemployed as well as healthy meals to the hungry and underserved populations.
