James Gibson is the current head coach for the Elite Team of Energy Standard. Prior to Coach Gibson's career at Energy Standard, he spent 4 years as the National Sprint Coach & National Training Centre Coach for British Swimming. James began his coaching career in 2009 as a CN Mareille Elite Coach and has served as an international coach on various swim teams participating in world swimming champion meets. He is an English breaststroker who represented Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA world championships and European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. He is a former world, European and Commonwealth champion in the men's 50 meter breaststroke event.
