Jay W. Nielsen, M.D. has thirty-eight years experience as a family physician with special emphasis on Pain Management, Patient Education, Research, Urgent Care and Emergencies in medicine. Dr. Nielsen’s interest in Pain Management started in 1981 when he found himself the only physician in Erie County who would see Workmen’s Compensation spine injuries.  In 1993, he moved to Bluffton, Ohio and started training in Alternative Medicine with Dr. Terry Chappell and began his work in Prolotherapy and Chelation. In 1994, with Dr. Chappell’s assistance as President of the American College for Advancement of Medicine, Dr. Nielsen started the first Contract Research Organization specializing in Complementary Medicine, herbals, supplements, product validation and Medical Outcomes trials for Chelation.
