About Anika Anika started playing music at a young age. And when paired with growing up a punk in the 80’s, it’s easy to see how a performing in bands and finding ways to support that passion came naturally to her. While forming and playing in bands such as the Hectics, the Superbees, and Hemi Cuda, Anika used bartending as her flexible yet dependable enabler. Her years with the infamous band Hemi Cuda lead to world tours, adventures and opening for bands like the White Stripes and Gwar. From her days behind the bar over 20 years ago at the PS Lounge on E Colfax (where a star bearing her name still hangs on the wall today), to managing the notorious 15th St. Tavern venue (where many soon to be famous acts debuted in Denver) to writing the opening cocktail programs at Root Down and Linger and her current job with the world’s largest liquor compan
