Synopsis

Hosts Markie and Pedro start the episode introducing the goals and themes of the podcast and then interview each other on their personal stories of how they became politically active.  Pedro talks about growing up in a religious school in rural Brazil, reading figures like Bakunin and Malatesta in the public library of Rio de Janeiro, and finding himself working in a chocolate factory after he came to the US.
