Inner Truth

Daniel Pinchbeck is a NY Times best-selling author who’s work covers psychedelics, shamanism, and most recently climate change. We talk a lot on Inner Truth about our own wellbeing and recently I’ve been thinking a lot about how our own inner lives are symmetrical with the outer world. How we treat ourselves inside is a close mirror for how we respond to events outside and also how we treat the environment. One of the people that’s been at the forefront of this kind of thinking is the incredible author Daniel Pinchbeck who shot up around 2002-2003 with his amazing book Breaking Open The Head which documented his travels around the world to take part in psychedelic initiations with various indigenous communities. It was in these journeys that he had profoundly transcendent interconnected experiences that convinced him that what many of us are missing is initiation into the planet and an experience of no separateness to understand our deep bond to the planet. In his latest book – How Soon Is Now? – he posits th
