You may not be immediately familiar with her name but no doubt you know her by her books, 1,000 Places to See Before You Die and 1,000 Places to See in the US and Canada Before You Die. I’ve known Patricia for a long time as we often speak at the same events—the Travel and Adventure Shows which happen throughout the country from January through March--and although it’s been a couple of years for me, the New York Times Travel Show where Patricia speaks each year. This was the first time that we got to sit down and really chat. And I have to tell you that this was one of the most wonderful conversations I’ve had on this podcast.
