Dr. Fiona Bethea is a Health Scientist on the Bleeding Disorders Team in the Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch of the Division of Blood Disorders (DBD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). She joined DBD in 2009 and served as the project coordinator and technical advisor for a study of hemophilia inhibitors, a serious treatment complication. Since 2016, she has worked with community partners to develop evidence-based health promotion and education programs to reduce and prevent complications of bleeding disorders. She also collaborates in the monitoring and evaluation of the Community Counts bleeding disorders surveillance program.
