A native of Lowell, Massachusetts and after graduating from high school, Shaun served in the US Air Force as a Security Forces specialist from 1999-2004, at Robbins Air Force base GA and full year at Osan Air Base, South Korea including deployments to the middle east. He moved to South Bend, Indiana in 2006, and studied Music and Education at Indiana University South Bend. In 2009 he started Cold Porter's Moon, an Irish music band because he saw another Irish band playing and he thought they were boring. He decided to try and inject a little of his east coast attitude and Irish heritage into traditional Irish music. He's continued playing and writing with that attitude for the last 13 years. In 2010 he was gifted the best job he's ever had when his daughter Brigid was born and he became a father for the first time.
