I often wondered what his, and thus my life and that of my family, would have been like if he’d been able to make the good choices that Ron James was finally able to. I relate to Ron’s story because I know up close and personal what an addicted person does to their family”. The choices you have to make and how you sometimes just have to deal with the choices other people make that affect you. Like any adult whose parent has died, Theresa relates to how Ron must feel about his choices keeping him in prison so that his mother died without him being there.
