In 2012, Lisa D'Amour and Katie Pearl--known collectively as PearlDamour--began visiting five small American towns named Milton. From these visits emerged Milton: A Performance & Community Engagement Experiment (53rd State Press). This is a book that will be of interest to anyone interested in theatre as a tool for community engagement. The project moves from tiny details about the residents of each town to wide-lens reflections on what it means to be a citizen of a changing America.
