I was shocked and saddened by the news of his passing away and wanted to speak to someone who knew him and can share a few things about Rahat Sahab. Thankfully Vishal Bagh and Madhyam Saxena, who are both my favorites, and have performed with Rahat Sahab on various occasions agreed to talk to me about the legendary poet.
