Once Upon a Time 521 | Last Rites Recap This week on our Happily Ever After podcast we discuss Once Upon a Time episode 521, “Last Rites”. We got a heavy dose of drama, full of sadness with only a small twinkle of hope at the end. The Hades story finally comes to an end with the death of a beloved character. We discuss the loss, and whether a happy ending requires a romantic true love, or if the love of family is the real fairy tale ending we are driving towards. As well as all the heavy drama, we also got a surprisingly neat tie-up of the King Arthur story. The impact of this episode will last for a while, and we will have to wait for the season finale to get some clarity.
