1 Timothy 2:1-2 “I urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” What comes in through our eyes and ears is so important. To counter fear, anxiety and mistrust let’s be those who turn first to God. Let’s also “fight with Scripture for the victory that Jesus has already purchased.” (Bill Johnson, Bethel Church, Redding) Let your Prayer Focus be for our Government, national and regional leaders, public health officers, and the Civil Service. There are difficult decisions to be made and complex plans to be developed and implemented in a rapidly unfolding scenario. Pray for unity, wisdom, stamina and strength for Parliament and our local authorities. Pray that our four nations will respond constructively to those in leadership.
