Parents Pressure To Buy Piles Of Christmas Presents For Their Kids - Daily Inspiration #114

Informações:

Synopsis

Today I want to talk about how parents are under pressure to buy piles of Christmas presents for their kids. I remember when I and my ex-husband used to worry about the size of the piles for each of the boys right until Christmas Eve... Did we have enough? This year I would like to make some changes to this. What’s really missing from my kids life? Another I-pad or the latest phone? No What’s missing is quality time with my kids without the interruption of social media. Spending time with my kids with my full attention to every little word they are saying. Listening and observing, teaching them the skills to cope with life by learning myself first and foremost. It definitely trumps the pile of presents that I use to rush around getting them. This Christmas slow down and really think before you buy. Is it a genuine present or are you buying due to guilt and other social pressures?
