Synopsis

Special thanks this week to Chuck Schaden at www.speakingofradio.com for use of his interview with Himan Brown.February 6, 2016 - This week a focus on radio icon Himan Brown who made millions in radio and was the creative brains behind Dick Tracy, Inner Sanctum, Flash Gordon, The Thin Man, Bulldog Drummond and more. He is credited in over 30,000 radio shows. In 1984 he created a trust to support spoken word radio. When he died in 2010, to everyone's surprise, the money -- over $100 million - didn't end up where Himan wanted it to. In this episode we retrace Himan's footsteps through radio and find out where the money has gone. As an added bonus I get freaked out listening to one of his old radio shows.
