Quiet Confidence With Dr Tess Crawley

Ep. 103 TAKING A DETOUR IS NOT FAILING

Synopsis

I had a fabulous chat with one of my mentor clients this morning about their decision to take a slower approach to building their business, in the meantime adding more strings to their bow through other means.   We talked about the fear that this meant failing in their business endeavors. We talked about the fear that their business might falter.  And then we talked about alignment.   If you decide to do something different to what you’d planned - and it’s aligned to your big-picture vision - it’s not a failure, it’s a new goal If you decide to slow things down - and it’s aligned to your big-picture vision - it’s not a failure, it’s a change in pace If you decide to take time to consolidate new learning and seek more of the same - and it’s aligned to your big-picture vision - it’s not a failure, it’s a sign of wisdom.   Just because your goals have changed, it doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you’ve incorporated new information into your thinking and have shifted your goals accordingly
