They They have to prove their suitability for being married by being able to chop wood and do things with a baby. With such cold temperatures in winter the ability to have a warm house is truly important. Fun for the happy couple and great entertainment for the guests who get to watch. Not so good for the traffic in the town as these tasks can be set anywhere on the journey from the wedding to the reception.
