I Am - Jesus' Life Changing Self-declarations-I am the Light of the World 潘智翔牧師 Rev. Justin Pan: When someone says, “I am…,” it reveals something about their identity. About the core of their being. About what is most important to them and about them. For example, when someone says, “I am a Christian,” he or she is making a big, bold statement that this is his/her identity in Christ. So when Jesus says, “I am…,” we should pay close attention. He’s pulling back the curtain on his divine character. He’s telling us something profoundly important about Himself and His relationship with us – something we don’t want to miss. Even though Jesus made the statement during His time on earth, they are still current today because Jesus is still who He said He was. With that in mind, the audience will be savoring Jesus’, “I am,” statements for 7 consecutive Sundays.
