This epistle was written by James (the half brother of Jesus) to Jewish believers around 50 A.D. in order to challenge them to possess an active, visible, viable faith that would produce great changes in a person’s life. James chapter 4 is one of the sharpest rebukes found, these words call James' readers back to a life of holiness.
