Deer Feet

This week things get a little heavy on Deer Feet.  As the anniversaries of our grandfather's and father's deaths approach, we take time to reflect on our experiences with care giving and loss.  We cover some issues that are hard to talk about, such as dealing with dementia, managing stress as a care giver and struggling through anticipatory grief.  There is some link with last week's episode as we discuss how toxic people can complicate an already stressful and overwhelming situation.  The big takeaway is that grief is complicated and personal, and providing care for a terminal patient is one of the hardest things you can undertake.  If you are serving as a care giver, know that you are strong and that there are resources available if you need help.
