In the book of 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul encourages the followers of Jesus in a local church that they should “eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of prophecy.” But why? Why did Paul think it was so important for this group of people to pursue the gifts, especially the gift of prophecy, and what does that mean for us today? Who can prophecy?
