Ever listen to the way you pray, and to the prayers of those around you? If you do you'll often hear phrases —familiar words we've probably been saying over and over to God since we first learned how to pray. Words and phrases like, Bless me, Be with me, Watch over and protect me, etc. Yet, while these prayers are part of the Biblical journey, the fact that they dominate our conversations with God can indicate a me-centered faith that is distant from the New Testament life we are called to in Jesus. In this series we want to REMIX or RETHINK the words and phrases we use in our conversations with the Creator. By doing so we will hopefully move towards a healthier, God-centered prayer language that saturates our thoughts, words, & lives!
