The Senate passed its version of the Farm Bill June 28th. That follows the House effort which passed earlier in the month. The end result is that Congress appears headed for fights over farm subsidies, food stamps, and conservation. Despite appearances, a Kansas State University agricultural economist says he feels Congress will be forced into getting the next Farm Bill passed…and passed on time.
