Synopsis
Few of us can imagine the stress involved in being a transgender child. Think for a moment about what it is like to be asked again and again, “Are you a boy or a girl?” Or think about what it means to have your deepest sense of self questioned by many of the adults in your life. That is the focus for the conclusion of a two-part series on what it means to be transgender. Guest: Ann Travers, associate professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.
