Dr. Daniela Vergara is an evolutionary biologist with experience in coevolutionary interactions and for her doctoral research she worked with host-parasite interactions. Daniela is working with the Kane lab at Colorado University Boulder on genomic evolution of Cannabis. She is studying the genomic variation found in Cannabis plants. She is the CEO and cofounder of the Agricultural Genomics Foundation, a non-profit organization aimed to educate the public and to provide genomic tools for scientist working in Cannabis and for the Cannabis industry to improve breeding.
