The shepherd comes back for only one of one-hundred sheep. That's barely a margin of error. It's hard to think of ourselves as the 1%, but in so doing we remember that the shepherd has come back for us not because of our significance, but because of his benevolence. The powerful act of remembering this compels us to act differently towards the 1% in our lives.
