After completing her PhD in Computer Science at Simon Fraser University, Maryam went on to work at the BC Cancer Agency.  Whilst there Maryam uncovered that approximately 70% of skin cancer was actually found by patients and thus went onto create the MoleScope, a tool that helps patients better track and monitor their moles.
