For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died (2 Cor 5:14). The verb “to compel” in Greek means “to seize so as to leave little room for movement.” Because of Christ’s love, we have no choice but to live as follows: And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again (v. 15). This is the new reality we live in. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.
