How they are still with us! The Continuing Presence of Our Loved Ones After Death Death hurts. When someone we love dies, nothing can simply “fix” that loss. The absence feels real. The silence can feel overwhelming. We often speak of seeing our loved ones again in heaven someday. The church teaches us to trust in life after death.
