We all see the world through a lens.  The data we receive from our eyes is run through a series of filters in our mind and is processed into information we can understand.  These filters are developed throughout our lives.  Often we will see things in our lives that don't make sense that are not clear to us.  We then go through the process of trying different filters that we have at our disposal in an effort to make things clear.  Our filters come from our culture, our religions, our experiences, our society.
