I've had several situations in my life I felt like I won big only to look back years later and realize how big of a loss it was.  I've had situations that devastated me and I felt like a failure.  I look back and realize how they were wins that I didn't even see or they set me up for success.  Perhaps wins and losses are labeled wrong.
