Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend!   I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks…   Raina: Hi Dr. Cabral! Hope you’re feeling groovy and vibrant on this fine day! :) I recently had a baby.. I was planning for a home birth but things didn’t go as planned. After 100+ hours of labor I went to the hospital and ended up with an emergency c section. My baby was taken to the NICU because of struggling to breathe - she had swallowed meconium which quickly came out and she was then breathing fine. While I was in recovery from surgery and she was in the NICU the med team gave her a vit K shot, despite the fact that i previously told them no injections. Now I’m trying to right their wrongs. Is there anything I can do to help her body after receiving the vit K shot? Also, how could I best support her body after a c section and not getting the benefits of a natural vaginal birth? Thanks!!!!!
