The Bible emphasizes the power of words – they build up or tear down, heal or wound, and influence the course of one's life.  Evaluate your words and choose what you will express – words that harm or heal.  Choose to express life giving words – uplifting words that carry grace and kindness. Be one who embodies attributes like patience, kindness, faithfulness, empathy, forgiveness, tolerance, love and compassion. Listen before you speak.  Don't talk too much – there is wisdom in holding one’s tongue.  Move past you – stop being overly self-absorbed, arrogant, or sensitive about our own feelings or importance.
