On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Josh Appel(@JoshAppel) from 560 WQAM to the show to break down the Panthers 4-3 OT loss against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. Panthers were able to have a lead in the first period despite Edmonton having the ice tilted in their favor, a failed coaches challenge by Edmonton had the Panthers taking advantage with two goals in 1:41. Florida took the lead in the second period and had a 3-1 lead, but it didn't even last two minutes, as Viktor Arvidsson's shot from the rush got a piece of Sergei Bobrovsky and past him to make it 3-2, Florida couldn't shut things down with it being a one-goal game for a good portion of the night.
